I’m an Emmy-winning television and film editor specializing in scripted comedy, documentary, performance, and political satire. I’ve cut shows and specials for HBO, Netflix, TBS, Hulu, PBS, Comedy Central, and more, with credits spanning scripted comedy, stand-up, late night, children’s television, and feature documentary.
My comedy work includes Hulu's scripted series, Difficult People, Sarah Silverman: Postmortem, Netflix's Bumping Mics with Jeff Ross and Dave Attell, seven seasons on Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, Jeff Ross Roasts Criminals: Live at Brazos County Jail, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, and two seasons on My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman. I’ve won three Emmy Awards for my work on PBS’s The Electric Company, and received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.
My feature film credits include work as an additional editor on the Academy Award-nominated documentary The Alabama Solution, directed by Andrew Jarecki and Charlotte Kaufman. I also edited the narrative feature, 3rd Street Blackout, edited and produced the documentaries The Muslims Are Coming! and Nerdcore Rising, and directed A Cricket in the Court of Akbar, a documentary filmed throughout Rajasthan, India.
Outside the edit room, I’m a longtime sitar player and disciple of Pandit Krishna Mohan Bhatt of the Senia Maihar Gharana. I’ve studied sitar since 1992, won the Grand Championship Sur Sadhak Award at the Darshak Music Competition in Jaipur, India, and was selected as a TED Fellow at TEDIndia in 2009.
